Wildlife Workshops for Schools

Bring the African bush into your classroom with wildlife workshops led by Kirsten Tinkler, a practising artist and former professional safari guide. Pupils explore animal tracking, behaviour and conservation through real safari stories, hands-on activities and creative art.

Inspired by the Wild. Created from Real Safari Experience.

Tracking a leopard in the Sabi Sand, South Africa.

Learning through real encounters and animal behavioural observation.

Before creating I Am Wild at Art, I spent five years working as a professional safari guide in South Africa. I now bring those real experiences into school workshops that build curiosity, observation and understanding of wildlife.

Pupils investigate animal tracks and signs, explore behaviour and conservation, and create a wildlife artwork using mixed-media techniques. Every workshop includes a creative take-home artwork and supporting worksheet.

Sessions are adapted for KS1 and KS2 and can be tailored to your current topic. Choose a two-hour or half-day format.

The inspiration behind every adventure during my time as an African Safari Guide.
