Original Multimedia Artwork

Inspired by my own photographs, my art is based directly on the animals I met during my travels as a Safari guide in South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. With a sensitive and colour-lead approach, I seek to draw the viewer into each soft stroke, guiding the eye into an emotional moment of pause.

The creative journey of each piece involves a mixture of multimedia techniques, from painting and sketching, to layering and texturing with oil pastels. On average, each piece takes around 70 hours of caring creativity achieved with Gallery standard art materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Caran D'ach Luminance Colour Pencils. These pencils have a very high pigment intensity and purity and are resistance to UV light, making them last a lifetime.

Sennelier Oil pastels. These pastels are packed with an exceptionally high pigment content, giving them remarkable colouring and covering power, vibrant brightness, and excellent lightfastness.

Water based Oil Paint. This paint is just like oil paint, however it's the type of solvent used in the paint that makes the difference between oil and water based paints. Oil based paints use mineral turpentine in the makeup of the paint solvent, while water based paints use mainly water in their solvent.
