No two artists learn in exactly the same way. Each lesson is tailored to your interests, experience and goals, with clear demonstrations, practical guidance and plenty of encouragement.
Whether you are starting from scratch, returning to art, developing a sketchbook or preparing a portfolio or scholarship application, I will help you build your skills while developing artwork that feels individual to you.

I am a practising artist and experienced art tutor, teaching both private students and weekly adult classes. My lessons combine clear technical guidance with the freedom to experiment, helping students understand not only what to do, but why it works.
My background as a professional safari guide and wildlife artist gives me particular experience in drawing animals and the natural world, although lessons can be based on any subject that inspires you.
Lesson Options
In-Person Art Lessons
Enjoy personalised tuition in your own home. I bring the materials needed for the lesson, allowing you to experiment with different mediums without having to purchase everything beforehand.
Available in Rickmansworth and surrounding areas. Please include your postcode when enquiring so I can confirm availability.
Online Art Lessons
Learn from home through a personalised online session. Lessons are taught via Microsoft Teams or another agreed platform.
You will need to provide your own materials. A materials list and any worksheets or reference images will be emailed before your lesson.
