White Rhino Study

This artwork captures a peaceful morning spent with a pair of white rhino bulls near a mud wallow. At first, I relied on my binoculars to take zoomed photos with my phone, but as we waited, these gentle giants slowly wandered closer, giving us a beautifully clear view as they grazed on their breakfast. I’ve always loved the unhurried way rhinos feed—sweeping their heads in slow circles, gathering grass with those powerful, prehensile lips. This study was created from life, sketched directly from my game drive vehicle as the moment unfolded.
